Michelle is the founder of Advancing Women, an enterprise providing research and advisory services on equality, inclusion and gender diversity. She is also the founder professional women’s network Women Who Get It and co-founder of CDW (Culturally Diverse Women and Workforces). Michelle is determined to contribute to achieving global gender equality in her lifetime, especially through her research and advocacy for advancing women in the sporting industry.
Michelle is a proud Ambassador for Honour a Woman, Girls Uniform Agenda Flexible Working Day and the 2020 T20 Women’s World Cup. She is an experienced non-Executive director having held board roles with Good Shepherd Microfinance, Williamstown Football Club and the Gippsland AFL League. Her corporate career included executive roles at ASX & FTSE listed companies NAB, Telstra and Serco.
Michelle was named City of Melbourne B3000 Female Entrepreneur of the Year (2019), is a proud recipient of the AFR 100 Women of Influence Award (2018) and was a finalist in the VicHealth EWN Community Award (2018) for her significant contribution to women in football. She is a panel judge for the VicSport Awards and was a long-term Telstra Business Women’s Awards judge. Michelle is a Graduate of the AICD, holds an Executive MBA (Distinction) and hold various accreditations in organisational diversity and coaching.
Michelle is an in-demand speaker and is a regular contributor to the discussion about equality and inclusion in sport and business workplaces.
